BLASPHEMY (India)
Live at Deathfest 2001

At last, an Indian band which really growl on stage! The band after Dying Embrace which I really want to see (and hear). I heard the track in Throatlatch's compilation and Vikram also recommend me this band. Pity they are now r.i.p.! A d.i.y. video, the picture quality is good but the recording is not. The video starts with the band in the studio, recording their song. After few minutes (plus some footage in their hotel room), the video continues with their live show. There's an interesting clip before the show starts. If you are still guessing how Blasphemy sounds like, they play brutal death metal. A good set of fast, brutal songs and they are quite extreme on stage. And comparing this with other Indian metal videos, I can watch this few more times!

KRYPTOS (India)
Live Video
They are in Blasphemy's video thanks list. Also this is a d.i.y. video but the recording is quite good. The picture quality is okay but the sound is quite low. You will be able to watch the band on stage for about 45 minutes. Not sure when this video was recorded. It's an open-air gig. The whole place is quite big. There is around 100-200 people there. Most of them wearing Slayer, Megadeth, Marilyn Manson, etc from those well-known, 'commercial' metal bands t-shirt. That is the thing I hate seeing. Here in Malaysia, primary school kids wear plus other famous superstars (sports, films star) and even Osama Bin Laden. That is trendy is you ask me. About the video, the band started with "Remember The Fallen" from Sodom and the crowd seems to like the guitar/vocalist when he did that act (which I really hate!) while playing some lines from that song. They also play some of their own melodic death/black songs, complete with keyboard. The band seems to have a huge followers and the crowd number become bigger towards the end of the show! The band is a good performer because they pleased their fans. That is what I see from the crowd reaction. As for me I am only in for Slayer and Sodom covers.

SAKARATUL MAUT (Singapore)
The Video
2002

As you might know, SAKARATUL MAUT is a one-man band belongs to Makhluq (the editor of Dark Legions Magazine). He managed to get a bassist and drummer for "Qooan U's Death Gig 2002" in Singapore and he himself as the vocalist/guitarist. I am not sure about other bands playing on that day. Anyway in this video you will see 30 minutes of their live show (the one and only I guess) and a 10 minute animation made by Makhluq. The live show and the showmanship were just okay. He interacts with the audience. He didn't forget the 'executioner mask' which is the band's trademark. Playing songs from the debut album, the new song "Burning Salib" (featured in Legions Of The Dark Compilation) and some covers (Iron Maiden and others which I am not sure which from bands). Clear picture quality and things in this video are done professionally (not some cheap home video stuff). You will see some familiar faces in the video watching Sakaratul Maut perform. The animation is hilarious I guess. I didn't know Sakaratul Maut's songs will turn the listener into cannibals.
